Service Terms

Last updated: 31 August 2026

These Service Terms explain the conditions that apply when you visit talkwithkaspars.com, book an introductory conversation or purchase a listening session from Talk with Kaspars.

By making a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms.

1. About the service provider

The service is provided by:

Kaspars Daktiņš
Operator of Talk with Kaspars
Based in Italy
Website: talkwithkaspars.com
Email: hello@talkwithkaspars.com

2. About the service

Talk with Kaspars offers professional person-centred listening for adults who want a calm, respectful and non-judgmental space to speak, reflect and feel genuinely heard.

The service includes:

  • A free 30-minute introductory conversation

  • Paid 60-minute person-centred listening sessions

  • Private online meetings through Google Meet

You choose what you wish to talk about and the direction and pace of the conversation.

3. Nature and limits of the service

This is a professional listening service. It is not psychotherapy, psychological or medical treatment, diagnosis, psychiatric care, coaching or crisis support.

I do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment or provide medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

The service is not a replacement for care from a qualified healthcare or mental-health professional where such care is needed. You remain responsible for deciding whether this service is appropriate for you and for any decisions or actions you take following a conversation.

4. Emergencies and immediate support

This service is not suitable for emergencies or situations involving an immediate risk of harm.

If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact the emergency services in your location or seek assistance from an appropriate crisis service or qualified healthcare professional.

Messages and booking enquiries are not monitored continuously and should not be used to request urgent support.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to book or use this service.

By making a booking, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old

  • The information you provide is accurate

  • You understand the nature and limits of the service

  • You are able to participate in an online conversation

  • You accept responsibility for deciding what you wish to share

I may decline or discontinue the service if it appears unsuitable, unsafe or outside the reasonable scope of professional listening.

6. Free introductory conversation

The free 30-minute conversation gives us an opportunity to meet, discuss how the service works, answer questions and consider whether continuing feels appropriate.

It is not a full listening session and does not create an obligation for either person to continue working together.

No payment is required. If you cannot attend, please cancel or reschedule as early as possible so the appointment can become available to someone else.

Repeated missed introductory appointments may not be offered again.

7. Booking a paid session

Available times, session duration and the current price will be displayed on the booking page.

A booking is confirmed when:

  • You complete the booking process

  • Any required payment is successfully completed

  • You receive a confirmation email

You are responsible for providing a correct email address and checking your confirmation, appointment time and time zone.

Bookings are personal and should not be transferred to another person without prior agreement.

8. Prices and payments

The total price and currency will be shown before you confirm a paid booking. Unless stated otherwise, payment is required in advance to secure the appointment.

Payments are processed by Stripe through the Google Calendar booking system. Stripe may offer payment by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, depending on availability.

Google Calendar does not process or store your complete card information. Payment processing is subject to Stripe’s own terms and privacy practices.

I do not receive or store your complete card details.

9. Cancellation and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a paid session by using the options in your booking confirmation or by contacting:

hello@talkwithkaspars.com

The following policy applies:

  • If you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled starting time, you may reschedule without charge or request a full refund.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled starting time, the payment is normally non-refundable.

  • If you do not attend and have not cancelled, the appointment is treated as a missed session and is normally non-refundable.

  • Exceptional circumstances may be considered individually, but an alternative appointment or refund cannot be guaranteed.

Cancelling an appointment through Google Calendar does not automatically issue a refund. Where a refund is due, it will be arranged separately through Stripe.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. The time required for the refund to appear depends on Stripe, your bank and your payment method.

10. If I need to cancel

If I need to cancel a paid session, you may choose between:

  • Rescheduling the session without additional charge, or

  • Receiving a full refund

I am not responsible for additional expenses or losses arising from the cancellation, except where the law requires otherwise.

11. Late arrival

Please join the Google Meet session at the scheduled time.

If you arrive late:

  • The session will normally still finish at its originally scheduled ending time

  • The session fee will not be reduced

  • If you have not joined or contacted me within 15 minutes, the appointment may be treated as a missed session

If I am late, you will receive the full amount of time booked or be offered an appropriate alternative arrangement.

12. Technical requirements and interruptions

Sessions take place online through Google Meet. You are responsible for having:

  • A suitable device

  • A stable internet connection

  • Working audio and, if you wish to use it, video

  • A private or suitably comfortable place for the conversation

If a significant technical problem on my side prevents the session from taking place, the remaining time will be rescheduled or the payment will be refunded.

If the interruption is caused by your device, internet connection or environment, I will make reasonable efforts to continue. However, a refund or replacement session cannot always be guaranteed.

If a widespread platform failure or another issue outside either person’s reasonable control prevents the conversation, we will normally arrange a new time.

13. Privacy and confidentiality

I aim to treat what you share during a session with care and respect.

Sessions are not recorded by me, and I do not create detailed notes or written accounts of what you share.

You must not record, photograph, livestream, publish or distribute any part of a session without my prior written agreement.

Privacy cannot be guaranteed where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary in response to a serious and immediate risk of harm. Online communications also carry unavoidable technical and security risks.

Further information about personal information is provided in the Privacy Notice.

14. Respectful participation

Both people are expected to participate respectfully.

I may pause or end a conversation where there is:

  • Threatening, abusive, discriminatory or sexually inappropriate behaviour

  • Deliberate misuse of the service

  • Recording without permission

  • A serious concern that the service is unsuitable for the situation

  • Conduct that makes continuing the conversation unsafe or unreasonable

Where a session is ended because of serious misconduct or misuse, a refund may not be provided.

15. Results and personal responsibility

Listening can offer space for reflection, expression and greater clarity, but individual experiences differ.

No particular emotional, personal or practical result is promised or guaranteed. You remain responsible for:

  • The subjects you choose to discuss

  • The amount of information you share

  • Your personal decisions and actions

  • Seeking specialist or emergency support where necessary

The fact that a person-centred conversation feels helpful does not make it psychotherapy or medical treatment.

16. Consumer withdrawal rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union or another country that provides a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right, you retain any mandatory rights available under the law applicable to you.

EU consumers may generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a service contract made online. If you book a session scheduled to take place during that period, you expressly request that the service be provided before the withdrawal period has ended.

Once a requested session has been fully provided, the statutory withdrawal right may no longer apply where the legally required conditions have been met. If you withdraw after performance has begun but before the service has been completed, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already provided.

The 24-hour cancellation policy applies in addition to, and does not remove, any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To exercise a statutory withdrawal right, email a clear statement to:

hello@talkwithkaspars.com

17. Third-party services

The website, booking process, video meetings and payments rely on third-party services, including Hostinger, Google and Stripe.

Their availability and operation are outside my complete control. Your use of those platforms may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

I am not responsible for independent changes, outages or security incidents affecting third-party services, except to the extent that responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

18. Website content

The content on talkwithkaspars.com is provided for general information about the service.

Unless otherwise stated, the website’s text, visual identity and original materials may not be copied, republished, sold or used commercially without prior permission.

You may save or print a copy of these Terms for your personal records.

19. Responsibility and liability

The service will be provided with reasonable care and attention.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not responsible for:

  • Decisions or actions you take following a conversation

  • Outcomes that differ from your expectations

  • Losses caused by inaccurate information you provide

  • Problems caused by your equipment, connection or environment

  • Indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from use of the service

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence or any mandatory consumer right.

20. Circumstances beyond reasonable control

Neither person will be responsible for a delay or inability to perform an obligation caused by circumstances outside their reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include serious illness, power or internet failure, platform outages, natural disasters, government restrictions or other exceptional events.

Where possible, the affected session will be rescheduled or refunded fairly.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and the services provided are governed by the laws of Italy.

If you are a consumer living in another country, this choice does not remove any mandatory consumer protections available under the laws of your country of residence.

Before beginning formal proceedings, both parties are encouraged to contact each other and make a reasonable attempt to resolve the matter directly.

Any dispute will be handled by the courts having jurisdiction under applicable Italian and European consumer law. Consumers may retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence where applicable.

22. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when the service, prices, booking arrangements, payment providers or legal requirements change.

The version that applies to your booking is normally the version available when the booking is made, unless a change is required by law.

The current version and its last-updated date will be published on this page.

23. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply.

24. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, a booking, cancellation or refund, please contact:
